Hey guys! Probablyyyy the render I'm most proud of so far, or maybe tied with my Swamp Cabin. It's such a great feeling to create things you didn't know you were capable of. Being new to 3D, just the idea that you have something your proud of under your belt gives you confidence to move unto to other projects. This environment took me around 8-9ish hours, and somehow brute forced it all in one day. I'm just imagining what it'd look like if I spent a week on it haha. This scene will actually be the set for an animation I'm planning. Once I get my mocap suit, I'll have a dude going up the stairs or some shit! Textures are a combo of PBR from quixel, photo textures from textures.com, and photos I took myself. After this project, I can say I much prefer the photo texture workflow than PBR. The main plaster wall for example, is 4 wall photo textures combined in GIMP to create my own unique wall.
Rendered in Cycles, 200 samples.
