Yo yo! Just finished this son of a gun up! I wanted to push my current hard surface abilities to the limit and practice substance painter in one project, so this was freaking perfect! I found this cool military PDA thing randomly on reddit and immediately had create it. The main device block wasn't crazy hard to model, but the top "communications node" was a ridiculous challenge. Making sure that all those different shapes and twists and curves all worked together was a huge challenge, but I loved every bit of it. SubD is so fun I'm kinda obsessed. On the texturing side I used Substance Painter! I recently bought Substance after months of putting it off and working around it, and boy was I missing out. Substance is built so well I can just think up some cool material setup and piece it together in a couple minutes, crazy software. I custom made the stickers on the device and classified documents in Substance too which was super fun. Finally brought everything back to Blender and committed renderage. Really hope you guys like it and feel free to ask anything about the process, thanks.
